Being a student at HCA always offers unique and interesting ways of getting involved with our community.

Since November, we have been fortunate to have a Division 2 student participating in community service at Division 1. Students who expressed initial interest in this opportunity were interviewed. Shane Tetreault stood out as a candidate who understood the importance of having fun with the middle school students while also ensuring safety.

Equipped with a diversity of interests: experience working at a church daycare, flexible problem solving skills and chill vibe, Shane has become an important person for our Division 1 students. It is a pleasure to listen to them discuss the meaning of different words, try to figure out why a science experiment isn’t working and negotiate on how to spend their time together. Thank you Shane for everything you bring to our community!
