The deadly violence of the past two weeks in Georgia and Colorado has been saddening. As the debate begins in Washington about how best to respond as a country, let’s also keep remembering that so much also depends on what we do locally – from the quality of our schools to the access to social services and supports in our communities.

A reminder about Student Led Conferences next week! Students have been working on their portfolios to share with the parents, guardians and fans who attend their SLC’s. It is an important component of our assessment and accountability system at HCA – we look forward to seeing you there! Most SLC’s will be done on Zoom.

Finally, please be looking for information from us next week about a very concerning bill (LD 604) that is going before the state Education Committee in a couple of weeks. If passed, the bill would hurt our ability to support our students. We’ll need you to speak up about this and will send out ways you can do that early next week.
